More bad news awaits for the previous generation console gamers. Mortal Kombat X is likely being delayed until later this year. The popular game was released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 back in April 14th with a release date of sometime in June for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, sources are saying that the game has been delayed.
Retailers like Amazon and Gamestop is already listing the release date of Mortal Kombat X for PS3 and Xbox 360 as December 1, 2015. But that’s likely just a placeholder date that will be updated once the official release date is announced. Gaming news site Kotaku reports that Gamestop informed its customers that the game has been delayed to fall.
While there are credible things being noticed in the gaming world that the new Mortal Kombat game will take more time than promised to make its way to the previous generation consoles, retailers like Walmart and Target are still listing the game’s release date for PS3 and Xbox 360 as being the next month although it’s likely to be updated soon.
In any case, it’s almost certain that PS3 and Xbox 360 players will have to wait a few more months to get their hands on Mortal Kombat X. At least the developer High Voltage Software — which made the PC version of the game and is now working to develop the PS3 and Xbox 360 version — did not say that the game won’t be coming to the previous generation at all! Unlike what Rockstar said earlier this month that its Rockstar Editor — a feature that allows players to make movies in GTA V — won’t be coming to the previous generation consoles.
