I’m not a big fan of mobile gaming. That has to do with the fact that I feel like mobile phones are too small, no matter how big in size, for games to be enjoyed. With that said, I do think that there ate some games that are just perfect for playing on phones. And today, I’ve met yet another game that’s called Monument Valley.
I’ve heard highly of this game ever since I bought an iPhone to complement my Mac. This game is not free, so I haven’t bothered to check it out until now. Why now? That’s because the game is now free on iOS.
I don’t know in what occasion or how long the game will remain free, but if you are reading this and you have an iOS device, go and look for Monument Valley. I’m sure you will like it.
To put it simply, it’s a puzzle game but it’s a lot of fun. Take it from someone who pretty hates puzzle and all kinds of games that are hard. 😛 I think games are supposed to be fun and easy. So when the going gets tough, I usually give up.
Monument Valley is a fun game, but it’s also complicated. I’ve had trouble finishing level 3! So I don’t know how far I’ll go with this game. But I believe you should check it out while it’s free.
One thing I didn’t like about the game is that it felt too slow. When you finish a level, it makes you watch a very slow animation of level complete and progresses to the next level (or the level chooser screen).
It doesn’t seem to have any sound either. It has some dialogues, so I guess some sort of story has been inserted into this complicated journey if the Silent Princess. But some ambient sound and faster animation would have made this game a tad better.
Are you into puzzle games? What’s your favorite game to play on phone? (If it’s COC, please don’t let me know. 😐 )
