While watching an episode of Doctor Who that has a kind of Indiana Jones feel to it, I suddenly came to the disappointing realization that despite having a PlayStation 4 system at my home, I still haven’t played some of the best PlayStation exclusives yet. You’re right, I’m thinking of the Uncharted series.
With much hype surrounding the next Uncharted game in the series — Uncharted 4 – A Thief’s End — one must wonder why I’m going back to the root again. In fact, the only Uncharted game I’ve played so far is the third one in the series. I played that on PS3, and I didn’t finish it because I got a PS4 and started neglecting the old PS3.
Today, I told myself, enough! I must go back to the roots of the Uncharted series and play it before the next one comes out.
Now, knowing myself, I can tell that I won’t be able to finish the series before the release of Uncharted 4, more so because I will be traveling pretty much the entire month of May (On a side note, I’m thinking of taking my PS4 with me, in which case, I might be able to finish all three before the Thief’s End is released).
You might say that I still have enough of April left to finish the three games. “I wish!” I’ve got to work in the day and prepare for the finals that are coming up next week. When my finals end, I’ll have to prepare for the tour next month.
So, with goodness in my heart, I got the Uncharted Collection that contains the remastered version of all Uncharted games to date. I’ve started playing the first one, and I’m already blown away by the graphics of this game. The screenshots below do not do much justice. Trust me, they look much, much better on my TV (combined with my Sony Bravia TV’s sharpening and color correction applied). And I’m already loving it.
With a weekend ahead and finals looking at my like the devil they are, can I finish all three Uncharted before April 30th? Let’s see.
Have you played the Uncharted series yet? If you did, which one of the three is your favorite, and why? No spoiler, please. 😀
